Steiner School Last day.

We have completed our part in the Steiner School hall.  A big job well done by our team and our clients are very happy with the result that we have achieved for a straw bale building.  The colour in the lime is called Inca gold and we used a lighter strength for the internal walls.  Peter and Jason did a great job with pumping the lime render on and my elbows are totally stuffed.  Susan and Enrico did all the masking prior to rendering and they also finished the pointing and left the place extremely tidy.

Steiner School Day 4

End of Day 4 and the inside is almost finished with the final colour coat.  The oxide will fade to a lovely light shade of yellow.  Here are some photos from today:

Back in Gosford at the Central Coast Steiner School

We are back to apply the finish colour coat to this very large building.  We have a great team and after 3 days we are over half way into the final coat.  here are some photos of the progress to date:

SITUPS in Yass Roofing.

Progress is being made at the site of the Yass SITUPS with the roof framing under way.  Soon the corrugated iron will be put on.

SITUPS in Yass End Stage 1

Yesterday we completed the second coat of render and mesh.  We now go home!  The roofers will be there on Monday morning and we look forward to seeing the roof on.

SITUPS in Yass Day 6

Coming to the end of our part of the building Huff ‘n’ Puff Constructions are very happy with the result of this SITUP cottage.  The roofing materials have arrived and the roof frame goes on Monday.  The building inspector from Yass Shire Council was happy with the progress.

We will complete our rendering tomorrow and then head to the Yass Show the 150th Yass Show!

SITUPS in Yass Day 5

What a busy day.  Deliveries of materials and the completion of  the SITUPS ready for rendering.  Then the team arrives and starts applying the first coat of lime/sand render.  So here are some photos of the progress today:

SITUPS in Yass Day 4

Missed out on posting last Friday Day 3 as we were very busy and did not take any photos.  Today Monday 11th March we are back after a very busy weekend at home in Ganmain.  Couple of minor setbacks but well sorted by our 2 Kiwi chippies Darren and Daryl.  At the moment that means we have 3 Kiwis, one Kenyan, one Aussie and an Italian on the job.  The electrical cables were roughed in and not to forget Gordon who is doing the plumbing and many other jobs especially bracing and tie downs.

All in all a big day and we left as the sun was setting and Gordon and the Kiwis were still there.  Here is our progress in photos.  The lintels for the large doors and windows are in and look extremely strong, one may say overkill!

Day 5 will see a Council inspection and the start of the rendering.

SITUPS Away this time in Yass Day 2

Another good day hot and hard work today.  We achieved much and have started to fix the SITUPS into the slab and setting the lintels into place.  Looking good for a start on rendering for Monday morning.

SITUPS Away this time in Yass

We started our latest SITUP building today in Yass.  We have put together a great team and achieved an enormous amount today.  The walls are all up and in one day.  Tomorrow we fix them to the concrete slab and then start to get it ready for roofing.  Once that is done we will be back next week to start pumping on the first coat of lime render.  Tired but happy.
